Praveen is a character who was portrayed by Nik Dodani in the 2024 film, Twisters.
Biography[]
Praveen was student in Muskogee State University, worked with Kate on her research on how to weaken tornadoes, along with a team of other storm chasers. He was once struck by lightning, which increased his fear when they were storm chasing.
Praveen and the others' goal was to secure a grant to fund further research for their Ph.d. Their experiment was to launch barrels of sodium polyacrylate solution into a tornado to weaken it, using their device the Dorothy V doppler. In order to properly test the device, they needed to track down a tornado. As the tornado approached, Kate, Addy, Praveen, and Jeb manage to deploy the solution but they got caught in the tornado's path. The team had to rush to abandon their truck and run for shelter. While running towards the overpass, he gets swept by the winds and dies.

- He is the first character that got killed by the winds of a tornado, followed by Addy, Jeb, Cody and his girlfriend, the motel clerk, 2 civilians in El Reno and several others.
Appearance[]
In the movie, Praveen has black hair and a black stubble on his chin. He is seen wearing a white t -shirt with green sleeves with the Musktogee State College logo, dark brown pants, and black sneakers. In Kate's group picture of them together(both seen in her mom's barn and the article "Taking Weather Science By The Storm")he is seen wearing a white, translucent, raincoat, a long sleeved black shirt, white shorts, black shoes and white socks, and a green beanie.
