Praveen is a minor character in Twisters. The radar operator for Kate's Tornado Tamer team while at Muskogee State, he was caught in the massive EF-5 tornado at the beginning of the film along with Kate, Addy, and Jeb and was the first one to be swept away by it.

Praveen was a student in Muskogee State College who worked with Kate on her research on how to weaken tornadoes.
While chasing a developing supercell with his team in order to test their science project, a tornado spawned and rapidly grew to EF5 intensity. Debris being sucked into the funnel caused the vehicle they were driving to crash and get stuck in a field. Seeing no other option, Praveen points to a overpass in the distance as potential shelter, and the team races for it.
While running for cover, Praveen falls behind and is sucked into the tornado, killing him.
